Hello!
My name is Nicola, and I’m a creative and passionate Early Childhood Teacher with 25 years of experience in language and literacy development. I hold a Master of Education (Language & Literacy), a Graduate Certificate in Learning Difficulties, and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education.
I believe play is powerful—it nurtures relationships, relieves stress, and boosts happiness. Most importantly, play is essential for developing children’s communication and language skills along with imagination, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Play also offers a natural way to integrate curriculum content, vocabulary, and world knowledge - particularly when related to rich and engaging texts.
I’ve developed a range of uniquely curated incursions that I would love to facilitate in your school or early learning centre - sharing my passion for play and language development with your kiddies!
Warmly,
Nicola J ✨

All experiences are not with live animals. Teachers may select a focus animal e.g. Koala's and create a class book together by painting pictures to go along with the story provided and look after the Koalas in a play Koala Sanctuary. Yes. I have a current WWCC, ABN, Public Liability Insurance, and Western Australian Education Department Risk Management Documents to send through during the booking process.
Please note that as the incursions are hands on/interactive we do need to keep the group to no more than 27-30 students to ensure everyone gets a fair play and to keep disruptions minimal.
If you are interested in booking an incursion and wondering which one is suitable for your students/centre/school context please send me a message.
